Chris is the founder and creative director of Asylum, a highly regarded creative company that comprises of a design studio with a retail store. Asylum is defined as an ideas company. Since its inception in 1999, they have excelled on truly cross disciplinary projects that includes interactive design, product development, environmental & interior design, packaging, branding, and graphic design. His work in the creative industry is recognized with more than 70 international awards including The One Show and D&AD. Asylum has also been featured in more than 30 international magazines from around the world. ICON UK magazine recently quoted Asylum to be " Probably the Best Design Agency in Singapore today".
Geoff Ang
A self-taught lensman, fashion and advertising photographer Geoff Ang has been creating beautiful, thought provoking and edgy pictures since the age of 16. Taking the Singapore & Asian fashion scene by storm, Geoff is now one of the most in-demand fashion photographers in the local and international scene. Accolades for him include the inaugural Singapore Fashion Awards where he won Fashion Photographer of the Year after only eight months in the fashion business as well as advertising awards in the Clio, NY Festivals, The One Show, Indonesian Advertising Awards and the London International Advertising Awards. His relentless pursuit for visual creativity has also led him to directing TV commercials as a TVC Director.
Jackson Tan
Jackson Tan is a co-founder of Black Design, a multi-disciplinary creative communications agency. He has worked with clients such as MTV, DesignSingapore Council, Discovery Channel, Peranakan Museum, Daimler Chrysler and Nike in creative areas that include branding, graphic design, advertising, motion graphics, and exhibition production. His works have won recognition in international creative award shows such as the British D&AD, American Center of Design 100 Show, Promax Asia, Asia Media Design Awards and The Creative Circle Award. He was commissioned by DesignSingapore (MICA) in April 2005 to conceptualise, curate and design the highly successful landmark exhibition called 20/20. It is a showcase of 20 of Singapore's finest creative talents and charts the paradigm shifts that has occurred within Singapore's creative landscape.
Mark Goh
Mark Goh is the Deputy Director of Marina Bay Development Agency at the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) - Singapore’s national planning authority. He leads a team which looks into the coordination of the marketing, branding, place management as well as the programming of events for Marina Bay - the centrepiece of our city’s redevelopment efforts. An architect by training, he has experience in urban planning, urban design and conservation.
Richard Hassell
Richard Hassell is a founding director of WOHA, a regional design practice based in Singapore. Formed in 1994 with Singaporean Wong Mun Summ, the practice has grown to a staff of 80 from all over the world. WOHA is a design practice focused on the built environment. WOHA’s philosophy is to explore the intersections of culture, context, history, nature, climate, sustainability and social behaviour to inform innovative design. WOHA has received numerous international awards for excellence in design and their work is featured in professional publications worldwide. Richard Hassell was invited to participate in the prestigious invitation-only Masters by Practice program at RMIT University in 2000, and was awarded a Masters degree in 2002. Richard Hassell has given lectures, presentations and published papers at a variety of local and international institutions. Richard Hassell is currently a Board Member of the DesignSingapore Council and the Building and Construction Authority, Singapore.
